A teenager involved in a string of burglaries will not spend time behind bars.
On Thursday, a Jackson County judge sentenced 19-year-old Derek A. Kwiatkowski to two years probation.
Deputies arrested Kwiatkowski and 19-year-old Corey Crivits back in March. Investigators found them with an ATV, camo chairs, a television, and numerous tools, which officers say were taken in burglaries in Jackson and Trempealeau Counties.
Kwiatowski was found guilty of theft and criminal damage to property. All other charges against him were dropped.
