The man who led police on a high speed chase because of what he called a medical emergency has been charged.
46-year-old Dean Morse of Augusta is charged with attempting to flee an officer.
In October, Morse led Eau Claire deputies on a high speed chase because he said his wife had a medical emergency. Morse told investigators she had stomach pains and was throwing up. Hospital staff told officers her condition was not life-threatening. In the criminal complaint, Morse told officers he didn't think he could get in trouble if he had his 4-way flashing lights on.
Deputies say they chased him down U.S. Highway 12 going almost 90-miles an hour and had to use stop sticks. Officers say Morse passed a squad car going 90, and hit 105 mph near Altoona. Morse is set to be in court Thursday. We could not reach Morse for comment.
