Wednesday night the Select Jail Committee in Eau Claire County met to narrow down possible site for a new justice center.
The committee says its goal was to narrow it down to four to six possibilities. The committee says it thinks a realistic deadline for it to determine the best couple sites is January.
It says it will continue to narrow options down further, look for the most cost effective solutions and find a big enough site to work for the long-term.
