About 100 soldiers will return home to Wisconsin Saturday after serving in Afghanistan.

The National Guard soldiers of the 951st Sapper Engineer Company will be welcomed home Saturday afternoon at Rhinelander High School.

The unit is based in Tomahawk and Rhinelander. The soldiers were mobilized in Mississippi last November and left in February to begin their mission in Afghanistan.

The unit lost one member, Sergeant Ryan Adams of Rhinelander, who died of injuries from a rocket-propelled grenade attack on October 2nd.
