War protesters hit the street in Chippewa Falls Saturday to spread their message of peace.
>
It was all part of an event called "Mission Unaccomplished" which calls for an end to the war in Iraq.
>
Participants from around the area staged a peaceful protest by waving banners and holding signs at the intersection of Bridge and River Street in Chippewa Falls.
>
Organizers say many in the group are veterans or come from military families.
>
"This is our third year of doing Mission Unaccomplished so our planning meeting was in February, there's a group of us in Eau Claire and we've been standing on what we call peace corner for well over 18 months now," said Protest Organizaer Steve Wagener.
>
Wagener says the ultimate goal is to bring troops home peacefully, and he protesters will continue to meet at peace corner every Saturday until the war is over.
