The University of Wisconsin Stout was the fashionable place to be on Sunday, as hundreds of the fashion-forward gathered for a student fashion and design show.

More than 60 student designers participated, taking their designs from a paper project to a runway reality, as part of the 2007 Silhouettes Fashion Show.

Design student Laura Schanneth says preparations for Silhouettes begins well over a year in advance.

"All of our apparel and design program is involved with it, we have freshman, sophomores, juniors, seniors all designing and modeling, the main focus is our studio class," she said.

After the show awards were presented for excellence in a range of categories including most marketable, trendsetting appeal and best in show.
