Investors hoping to build an ethanol plant at Sparta say they'll seek city approval for the project a second time, rather than fight a lawsuit that claims the initial process was flawed.

Coulee Area Renewable Energy has proposed building the $80 million plant adjacent to Century Foods International, which makes dairy-based muscle-building and weight-loss powders.

Farmer David Rundahl of Coon Valley leads the investors' group. He says there were mistakes made in the initial process, and it will be quicker to start over and ask for approval again rather than fighting the allegations in court.
