A clark county company says it may have to lay off dozens of employees for a while.
Abbyland Pork Pack in Curtiss, east of Owen, notified the state that because of a change in demand for its product, it may have to lay off an estimated 40 employees for more than 6 months.
In a letter to the Department of Workforce Development, Abbyland Foods says that would be about 17.5% of its 229 employees. The DWD says it will prove help to affected workers.
