The Eau Claire County Clerk's office was issuing arrest warrants, but new budget constraints have forced the office to use a different method of collection.
They'll begin enforcing license suspensions, and it will last for two years if the fine remains unpaid.
If the fine is paid after the suspension then the person will have to pay a $50 reinstatement fee at the DMV to get their license back.
If the fine goes unpaid for two years, the $50 reinstatement fee will still have to be paid at the DMV to get the license reinstated.
The Clerk of Courts will also continue to try and get the fine money by seizing the person's tax refund.
