Three Eau Claire Police vehicles helped re-route traffic away from a two-car accident on Highway 93 and Hamilton Avenue.
Officials say the driver of a southbound vehicle was cited for failure to yield after turning left in front of a northbound vehicle.
Police say the driver of the northbound vehicle was driving under the influence of alcohol and was cited for his third drunk driving offense.
Both drivers were transported to the hospital. Police say their conditions are not life threatening.
