The Eau Claire Downtown Farmer's Market kicked off its second season today. It turns out rainy, windy weather isn't enough to keep people away from fresh flowers, veggies and homegrown or crafted goodies.
>
Dozens of people stopped by earlier today to check out the more than twenty booths. Organizers say they're happy with the turnout.
>
Phil Chute, President of the Downtown Farmers Market said "we have more customers than you might expect on such a cold day and 22 vendors. We have spinach, lettuce, asparagus, honey, meats, a nice variety.”
>
The farmers market is open from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. every Saturday. Starting in June you can shop on Wednesday and Thursdays as well. For a complete schedule, just click on featured links at the top of our website.
