A new sod system at Lambeau Field will present an obstacle for any of the heavyweight Green Bay Packers who score a touchdown and try to make the traditional Lambeau Leap into the fans in the first-row seats of the end zone.
>
The project has flattened out the field by reducing the crown in the middle from 14-inches to about five.
>
It's also removed a concrete hump in the end zone that heavier packers, like linemen, could use to aid their leap if they scored on an interception or fumble recovery.

The new sod on the field is expected to be in place May 11.
