The Cumberland man accused of hitting and killing his ex-girlfriend with his pick-up truck last June in Barron County pled no contest Tuesday morning.

Nicholas Larkin, 21, is charged with negligent homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle.

He also pled no contest to a first offense DUI.

Investigators say Larkin had a blood alcohol level of .14 when he hit 19-year-old Krista Schieble.

Witnesses say Larkin was driving erratically and fishtailing when Schieble was hit.

He is scheduled to be sentenced July 20th.
