Buffalo County deputies say 19-year-old Brittany Deetz was found dead early Thursday morning after her car was found engulfed in flames.
The Buffalo County Sheriffs Department responded to reports of a vehicle fire along County Highway H near Whelen Road in Mondovi around 3:30 a.m.
Deputies say the vehicle appeared to have hit a group of trees, and started on fire with her body still inside. Deetz was pronounced dead at the scene.
She was the only one in the car. The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's office in Minnesota identified her. The crash is still under investigation.
