Kenosha Police Officer Killed
A traffic stop near UW-Parkside led to a fatal shooting of Deputy Frank Fabiano, Junior.

Kenosha County Sheriff's Officers are mourning the loss of one of their own after a traffic stop led to the fatal shooting of a highly a 44-year-old suspect, identified by the Sheriff's Department as Ezequiel Lopez, was arrested within a few hours after a manhunt.

The Sheriff says Deputy Frank Fabiano, Junior, was shot once in the face after stopping a van near UW-Parkside Wednesday night just before midnight.

He sheriff says the man in custody has many aliases and connections to Texas.

As for Fabiano, the Sheriff says he was married and the father of a 7-year-old daughter and he had received multiple honors over the years.
