Severe Weather in Minnesota

Several tornadoes or funnel clouds were reported from west-central Minnesota to the northwest Twin Cities area.

The storm also disrupted operations at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

Scores of Northwest Airlines departures were delayed, and 16 inbound flights were diverted to other airports.

In the region, operations have now returned back to normal.

More than 22,000 customers of Xcel Energy also lost power in the Twin Cities, mostly in the east metro area.
