Police say a man armed with a knife held up a pharmacy in Eau Claire.
>
Police say a white male held up the Eau Claire Pharmacy just off Clairemont Avenue around 3:00 p.m. He had a knife and stole oxycontin and methadone.
>
Investigators on scene say the suspect is about six feet two inches tall and was wearing a dark jacket, ski mask, and black and white plaid pants.
>
Police say he fled the scene on foot and was headed south along Clairemont.
Investigators blocked off the scene with police tape and searched the garbage and drainage ditches near-by for any evidence. Police say that search will continue inside the pharmacy.
>
Deputy Chief Eric Larsen, with the Eau Claire Police Department, says "we'll work on collecting physical evidence at the scene and any fingerprints or dna or other evidents and canvass the area and see what witnesses we have in the area."
>
Larsen says both oxycontin and methadone are dangerous drugs. He says people have died in Eau Claire recently while taking metahdone, because it acts as a depressant until the user eventually falls asleep and never wakes up.
