A local company says they plan to be a part of the solution to high gas prices.
>
At an open house Wednesday in Blair, Coulee Region Biofuels displayed its new recycling and distribution center and the latest in biofuel technology.
>
The recycling center has the ability to turn used vegetable oil into fuel for commercial boilers and any car or truck. Biofuels workers say using waste vegetable oil is cheaper then filling your vehicle with gas.
>
"My hope is that it will always be cheaper,” says Taavi McMahon of PrairieFire Biofuels. “But I want to encourage people to also think about the environmental and economic aspects of why buying local fuel is a good idea."

The new facility will collect, recycle, and distribute environmentally friendly fuel sources.
