Stroke Awareness

Too many Americans don't know the signs for a stroke and Wednesday, Sacred Heart Hospital did a screening to help change that.

Around 90 people came to Sacred Heart to get stroke screening done for free.

The 45-minute screening included blood pressure tests, cholesterol, and glucose tests, and counseling with a nurse.

Some of the symptoms for a stroke include blurred vision, numbness, and trouble talking.

Sacred Heart officials say prevention for a stroke should start at a young age rather than waiting until your sixties or seventies to make lifestyle changes.
