Walleye fishing in Minnesota has been excellent since the season opener.

Anglers and resort owners say, so far, walleye fishing in Minnesota has been excellent since the season opener.
Lake Mille Lacs has been especially hot this year, with anglers catching their 4-fish limit within the lake's slot limit.
Conservation officers say the fishing has been so good, one group of anglers was caught with 15 walleyes and that is way over the limit. Now those anglers face up to $1,200 in fines.
With the cooperation of Mother Nature's, Wind, Upper Red, Lake of the Woods and other lakes have been producing walleye as well.
