Man Arrested In Boating Crash On Lake Holcombe

The name of the man behind the wheel of a speedboat that hit a pontoon boat on Lake Holcombe Sunday night is now released.
>
22-year-old Derek Brost of new Brighton, Minnesota formerly of Ladysmith, was arrested on charges of operating a boat while intoxicated and reckless operation of a boat.
>
The crash happened at about 11 p.m. on Sunday. Eight people were on the speedboat and 13 were on the pontoon boat.
>
The DNR and Chippewa County Sherriff's Department are still investigating the crash.
>
Brost will be in court on June 19th.
