Student Play Helps Out the Needy

The Students had planned to raise money through two performances of 'Bang Bang You're Dead,' a play about school violence. They're hoping that they can raise awareness of the consequences of violence while assisting those who live in impoverished nations.

All of the proceeds will be given to Heifer International (, an organization that donates livestock to families of third world countries.

The Students learned about Heifer International from a book they read in english class. At that point they decided to raise funds for the organization.

'Bang Bang You're Dead' ( was written by William Mastrosimone. He was inspired to write the script following an incident at his son's school where a student wrote threatening messages, directed at the teacher and other students, on a blackboard.
