Man thrown from SUV in crash
Deputies say a driver was thrown from an SUV after he missed a curve

FROM THE MONROE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT:
Monroe County Sheriff Dennis Pedersen reports a motor vehicle crash that resulted in injuries to one party. The crash occurred at about 1:27 p.m. on December 1, 2009 on Olive rd. in the township of Jefferson. A 1998 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer, which was being driven by Kess Marquardt age 32 of Arena WI, was Southbound on Olive Rd. when he failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle went off the east ditch and overturned ejecting Mr. Marquardt. He was transported to Gundersen Lutheran Hospital by Med-Link Helicopter with life threatening injuries.
Assisting the Sheriff’s Department at the scene was the Cashton Fire Department, Cashton First Responders, Tri State ambulance, and Med-Link Helicopter.
The crash remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.
