Just because the State Budget is set to advance out of Committee and head to the full Legislature this week, doesn't mean it's greased for passage.

Wisconsin Tax Payers Alliance President Todd Berry says he'll be surprised if a new budget is in place before Labor Day.

He says the Joint Finance Committee has left negotiations on lawmakers' biggest differences for later.

The Republican-led Assembly is expected to pass a budget very different from the one that comes out of the Democratic-controlled Senate.

That means a conference committee will have to meet to work out the differences.
