A school that closed last year could open for classes again.
Mondovi School District Superintendent, Cheryl Gullicksrud told us on Thursday the Anthony School on State Highway 37 could house classes in 2011. It's because the district has been seeing larger enrollment in 4 and 5-year-old kindergarten classes. Right now, the building is used on weekends for community events and other activities for kids.
The district plans to get the building appraised in the next month or two. In February of 2008, the school board voted to close Anthony in order to save money but never sold the property.
