Investigators say a man had been drinking and was upset when he unintentionally fired a bullet into a home Thursday night.
It happened on Clark Street in Boyd. Chippewa County Sheriff Jim Kowalczyk says Randy Sorenson was arrested and taken to the hospital. The sheriff says he'll likely be booked into the jail for intoxicated use of a weapon and reckless endangerment.
The sheriff says Sorenson was drinking at the Double D Saloon which is next to the home. That's when he left the bar and fired a shot. He says Sorenson didn't intentionally try to hit the home.
Officers say the shot went through the upper level, but the people at home were downstairs at the time. No one was hurt. Officers blocked off part of Clark Street during the investigation.
