Criminal Facing New Felony Charges
Marquette County prosecutors charged Jason Kuehlem with felony escape, burglary, resisting an officer and criminal damage to property.

A prisoner saw an opportunity at a Wisconsin rest stop and is facing a new set of charges.

Marquette County prosecutors charged Jason Kuehlem with felony escape, burglary, resisting an officer and criminal damage to property. Kuehlem was part of a group of inmates riding with a private transport company.

He got loose on May 25th, at a rest stop along I-39 near Westfield. The manhunt to find him lasted a few hours when sheriff's deputies found him in a nearby unoccupied home. Investigators say Kuehlem fought with them and broke out the window of a squad car as they took him back into custody.
