An employee of a La Crosse business accidentally drove off with a bag containing $3,000 on the hood of their vehicle.
They figured it was a complete loss, until the Onalaska Police received a call from the owners of Goldbeck Towing. Father and son, Gerald and Craig Goldbeck found the money on the road and stopped to collect as much as they could manage, $2,340 in twenty dollar bills.
The police were later able to collect an additional $520. All but $140 were returned to the business thanks to an honest family.
