Pool Rules
As school lets out, pools around the area fill up, and lifeguards are asking parents to help them keep their kids safe.

With school now out for many kids, the lure of a trip to Fairfax pool in Eau Claire will bring out hundreds of children.
>
Pool manager, Christine Mohr, says she wants parents to know children under 12 should have an adult with them and even children over 12 should always bring a friend so the pool has someone to contact in case of an emergency.
>
Eighteen trained lifeguards are on duty at Fairfax pool during peak hours. Mohr says parents should feel comfortable with their children in their hands.
>
Mohr says, "If we see someone struggling, we will swim test them and let them know where they can go in the pool so if we seem them struggling we can test their ability, so for the 50 meter or the deep part - we swim test them and direct them where they can go."
>
Mohr also says when there is severe weather, they evacuate the pool and have a small shelter for the children to go and wait to ride out lightning or thunder.
