Investigators say a man who died last week was likely attacked by a bull.
The Pierce County Sheriff's Department got the call just after 5:00 p.m. on Thursday after a neighbor found Dennis Churchill, 53, unresponsive in a barnyard at W1397 State Highway 72 near Elmwood. A deputy coroner pronounced him dead.
Investigators say Churchill died of blunt force trauma in conjunction with hypothermia. They say a bull probably knocked him over or rolled him before he died. Deputies are not sure what happened to the animal.
Another man was found dead northeast of Ellsworth on Wednesday. Deputies say Peter Neiderhauser, 66, was found outside of his home near a barn on his property. A cause of death wasn't determined, but investigators say it was likely a medical condition.
