New jail sites narrowed down to five
There are now just five possible sites for a new jail in Eau Claire County.

There are now just five possible sites for a new jail in Eau Claire County.
They're along the Eau Claire River off Galloway Street, the River Prairie Development area in Altoona, land off Jeffers Road just north of the North Crossing, property east of Highway 53 along Black Avenue and a site on Highway 93 near I-94.
The select committee to recommend justice center building sites hopes to narrow the list down to two in January.
