A 12-year-old boy died Tuesday as he biked home from his neighbor's house
>
Lt. Mitch Gibson with the Chippewa County Sheriff's Department says it happened just east of Hallie on County Road UN a little before noon.
>
Gibson says a 12-year-old Levi R. Stokka was pulling out of the driveway directly across the street from his own. That's when a pickup truck came over the hill and hit him, pushing him a couple hundred feet up the road.
>
The driver of the pickup truck, Randall B. Jensen of Augusta, stopped and was not hurt.
>
Gibson says crews were on the scene shortly after. He says they tried to save Stokka, but he died a short while later.
>
The Chippewa County Sheriff's Department and the State Patrol are still investigating the crash.
