Associate Dean of Students Robert Shaw is retiring from UW-Eau Claire this month.
Shaw spent 30 years as Associate Dean, and said he's seen a new group of mature and more technologically competent students in recent years. Their company is what he liked best about his job.
"I've enjoyed my work with the students," Shaw said. "Of all the things I'll miss most, it'll be the one-on-one daily contact with students."
Though he's retiring from UW-Eau Claire, Shaw said his working days won't end any time soon. He'll split his time as a psychologist and a financial planner now that he's leaving the university.
