Plans continue to evolve for a high speed rail line from the Twin Cities to Chicago, as experts study possible routes the rail could follow.
The state Department of Transportation is expected to release a report this week discussing sites that can be possible stops. One option is expected to include a corridor through Rochester, Minnesota. Other possibilities could include a river route along the Mississippi River through Winona, Eau Claire and a route on the Wisconsin side of the Mississippi.
