Two Wisconsin bait farming businesses plead guilty to illegally importing fish
Two Wisconsin bait farming businesses that pleaded guilty to illegally importing fish from other states are scheduled to be sentenced in federal court Thursday.

Two Wisconsin bait farming businesses that pleaded guilty to illegally importing fish from other states are scheduled to be sentenced in federal court Thursday.
They are among four businesses that pleaded guilty to illegally importing fish from Minnesota, Arkansas, North Dakota and South Dakota. Hayward bait and tackle of Hayward and Friesses Minnow Farm of Cumberland were up for sentencing.
Wednesday, Gollon Bait & Fish Farm of Dodgeville was sentenced to three years probation, fined $6,000 and also ordered to pay for additional monitoring.
A fourth business, Gollon Brothers Wholesale Live Bait, Inc., of Stevens Point, is to be sentenced on January 8.
