Prosecutors have charged a driver in connection with a drunken driving crash.
Thirty-six-year-old John Killian from Whitehall is charged with six counts in Trempealeau County Court, including operating while intoxicated causing injury.
On December 11, deputies say this crash happened on Highway 93 near Independence. Witnesses told deputies Killian's truck weaving and going over the center line, when it hit a Volkswagen. Killian was sitting in his truck which was on its side, and the deputy smelled alcohol coming from the truck.
Deputies say Killian told them he fell asleep. Court records show his blood alcohol level was .14. Deputies say a woman and her 7 year old daughter were hurt in the crash. The woman had cracked vertebrae in her neck.
