Alleged Chi Chi's burglar's in court
Two Eau Claire teens have entered not guilty pleas to charges they attempted to steal a safe from the Chi Chi's restaurant three months ago. 18-year-old Xang Vang and Pao Xiong appeared in court Wednesday charged with burglary. Police say the teens broke into the retaurant with a crowbar in the early morning hours of February 29th, and dragged a safe from the building. When they noticed an unmarked police car in the parking lot, they left the safe and tried to flee the scene. A high speed chase ensued down Highway 12 until they were stopped near Fall Creek. No trial date has been set.
