People in Glenwood City will head back to the polls to decide if they want to keep their mayor.
Petitioners got nearly double the signatures needed to recall Mayor Mark DeBehnke. The primary is July 10th.
The Deputy City Clerk says there are two challengers, a gas station owner, James Kuehl and a former bank employee, John Larson.
Lou Ann Flick, a petitioner, started collecting signatures after she says
The mayor pushed for a million dollar new city complex.
Flick says she feels the town can't afford it. And says she wanted to use the democratic process to make a difference. She hopes the current mayor, or new mayor, will focus on recruiting businesses instead.
