Boys and Girls Club Grand Opening
For the last several months, the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Chippewa Falls has been raising funds and hiring new employees, and they finally feel they are ready to open.
The club, located in downtown Eau Claire, first declared its grand opening for early March. The new official grand opening date is set for Monday, June 14.
"The board of directors has been working on a big campaign to try to generate funds, says Lisa McIntyre from the Boys and Girls Club. "That's a really big piece, is fundraising. Acquiring money through grants and such."
The Boys and Girls club invites any students from fourth grade to seniors in high school to use the facility for homework, games, or socializing. The annual fee is only five dollars.
