A local farmer is dead after something went wrong while he was working on his tractor.
The Eau Claire County Sheriff's Department says the 75 year old man was working on his tractor on South Shaleridge Road south of Fall Creek Monday night. Deputies say the man had the bucket on the tractor hoisted into the air when it somehow released and pinned him between the control arm and the tractor.
Someone went to check on him Tuesday morning and found what had happened. Deputies say he lived alone on the farm, and his name has not been released.
