A *WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY* is in effect for Buffalo, Crawford, Jackson, Juneau, La Crosse, Monroe, Trempealeau, and Vernon Co., WI...Houston and Winona Co., MN through WED at 12:00 AM.

Our latest winter storm in moving East and we are just dealing with lingering clouds and snow showers on the backside of this departing system.

Here are some of the latest snowfall totals:
La Crosse: 4.7"
West Salem: 4.2"
Durand: 2.0"
Baldwin: 2.0"
Chippewa Falls: 1.4"
Augusta: 1.4"
Eau Claire: 1.1"
Bloomer: 1.0"
Cumberland: 1.0"

*Note: these are preliminary totals, they will likely increase this evening with later updates from the National Weather Service.

In addition to snowfall, we've had to contend with gusty winds. Luckily, both the snow and the wind should taper off later tonight.

Even with the snow tapering off, roads will continue to be slick tonight and tomorrow, so use extra caution when traveling. The best idea is to stick to main roads and highways that will be treated first.

Behind this area of low pressure, high pressure takes control tomorrow and Thursday, bringing us a decent amount of sunshine. However, despite more sun, temperatures will be slightly cooler than average. Next chance for flurries will hold off until Friday and Saturday, but even then it is just a *chance*.
