An area police department has cracked down on seat belt violations , issuing more than 70 citations in a month.
Starting January 1 through Super Bowl Sunday, the Rice Lake Police Department issued 73 seat belt citations, 21 speeding tickets and 23 operating after revocation or suspension. Investigator Chad Thompson says the department wants all drivers and passengers to buckle up voluntarily. But if they don't, they're prepared to stop their vehicle and give you a ticket.
