A priest is charged with fourth degree sexual assault Thursday.
Forty-seven-year-old Priest Edmund Donkor-Baine with the Diocese of La Crosse was in court Thursday afternoon. Court records show a woman who he was counseling for her divorce accused him of trying to kiss her and inappropriately touching her in August of 2009.
The woman says Donkor-Baine also forced her to put her hands on him in her car outside the Diocese Center. It happened outside La Crosse in the Town of Shelby.
A statement by the Diocese attorney says Donker-Baine denied making any non-consensual offensive touching.
