A rollover crash on Interstate 94 near the Foster exit caused minor injuries for a family, but left their SUV and camper trailer in ruins.
>
Just before noon, the State Patrol, along with Township Fire and the Eau Claire County Sheriff's Department, came to the scene in the westbound lanes of I-94, near Milemarker 77.
>
Troopers say the SUV, which was pulling the trailer, was heading west when both vehicles rolled into the median, and the bottom of the SUV caught fire.
>
"You get that kind of longer vehicle, big, and if you swerve to miss something and start to sway, the wind doesn't help," said Sergeant Michael Newton of the Wisconsin State Patrol. "It can sometimes be hard to recover once you start to sway."
>
Troopers say the fire may have been sparked by some wiring but it was small and already out when fire crews got there.
