Lakeside Now Under New Management
As of 9 a.m. Monday, Lakeside Nursing and Rehabilitation in Chippewa Falls has been under new management after state officials took away the operator's license because of dozens of state and federal violations.
Pathway Health Services is an interim management company based in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Pathway has no plans to buy the facility, but was recommended by its owner, Extendicare, and approved by the state to help bring the facility to compliance.
Officials say they are working on introductions and keeping day-to-day functions running smoothly.
"We will be analyzing the statement's deficiencies, deficiencies and analyzing the care and the systems and developing a plan for how to address the issues addressed in the deficiencies, and share that with the staff," said Chief Operating Officer Kim Hysjulien.
A meeting has been set up this Thursday, June 24 for residents and their families to be introduced to Pathway Officials.
