Fire Destroys a Barn in Chippewa County

The fire in Chippewa County was noticed by two boys who were skateboarding in the barn.

The boys tried to put out the fire before calling 911. Firefighters from Tilden, Eagle Point, Bloomer and Anson responded to the fire.

Tilden Fire Cheif Dave Goettl said the intense heat could have caused more damage. The heat was so intense that it scorched the side of the house. No one was hurt in the fire. Fire department officials are still investigating the cause.
