Stabbing suspect charged

A rural Black River Falls man has been charged with fatally stabbing another man in a fight. Thirty-nine-year-old Michael Gromoff is accused of stabbing 32-year-old Tyrone Decorah, of Merrillan, June 19th in the chest after he hit Gromoff's arm with a four-foot-long piece of wood. Test results showed Gromoff had a blood-alcohol level of point-two-seven-three percent shortly after the altercation. Gromoff was charged with second-degree reckless homicide in Jackson County Circuit Court. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison.
