Fireworks Related Death

Sheriff's deputies in Burnett County say a fireworks malfunction killed a 17-year-old boy during a holiday celebration on Saturday night.

It happened around 10 p.m. Police say Michael Waltzing, who's from Webster, was injured when one of the parts of a 3-inch mortar shell acted up during a fireworks show he and his father were putting on for campers at the Whitetail Campground.

Waltzing was taken to the hospital and later died from his injuries. The sheriff's department is still investigating the incident.
