The United Way held it's final push for the "A Little Will Unite Us All" campaign Wednesday.
The organization raised $6,000 at Festival Foods Wednesday. Since the push started, it raised $60,000. United Way needed to raise $150,000 more to reach its goal and avoid cutting funding to the 60 programs it helps support. Supporters spent the day at Festival Foods in Eau Claire asking for donations.
Sara Noble with the United Way says donating to the organization benefits everyone in the community. She says, "Last year we did not make our goal of $1.9 million dollars and we ended up having to cut the allocations to our program partners. We're trying to avoid cutting them again this year."
United Way says one out of three people in the community is touched by one of these programs. They’re focused on the areas of Successful Children & Youth, Strong Families & Individuals, and Total Health and Well-Being.
If you couldn't make it out Wednesday you can still make a donations to the United Way.
