The president and CEO of Franciscan Skemp has been named the new CEO of all the Mayo Health System.
Doctor Robert Nesse has been Franciscan Skemp's president and CEO since 2004. He joined Mayo Health Clinic in 1980.
He will be moving to Rochester, Minnesota later this year to replace Doctor Peter Carryer who will retire this summer.
Doctor Nesse says in addition to the move, Mayo Health System will be using a new system to develop models of care to provide ongoing support for patients throughout the Midwest. He says he'll miss La Crosse and all the relationships he's formed over the years, but he's looking forward to the new position.
